Road safety
Our aim is to improve road user skills through teaching and promotional campaigns which will enhance the quality of life by reducing the number of fatal and serious road injuries.
The Road Safety Unit provides advice, resources, information and support for all road users' whether resident or visitor to Westminster.
We manage Bikeability, the new cycle proficiency scheme for children and adults, support local, regional and national campaigns and advise on sustainable travelling.

Child car seats
If you are the driver, you are responsible for ensuring that anyone under the age of 14 must wear a seat belt or use the correct baby/child seat or booster.
Cyclist training courses
Westminster City Council has a range of cycle training initiatives that are offered to all schools, children, adults and families.
School Travel Plans
Westminster City Council is working with all schools in the City to produce School Travel Plans (STPs) over the next 4 years.
