City of Westminster

Business Partnership

Crime and fear of crime have a significant negative impact on the profitability of businesses. We can help you to reduce shoplifting, alcohol related disorder, street drinking, begging and theft from your customers.

Be part of the Safer Soho Business Partnership, a crime reduction scheme run in partnership by the council and Westminster police, and you can:

  • contact other businesses and the Safer Soho police team quickly and efficiently using a linked radio system – meaning that anti-social behaviour and disorder issues can be reported and solved as quickly as possible
  • get shared information from police and the council about enforcement, results (including ASBOs given), follow up on specific cases and details of individuals to watch out for

benefit from direct radio communication with the Westminster CCTV centre, used by the council and the police to identify and crack down on crime and anti-social behaviour in the city
  • share CCTV footage with other businesses and the police through a secure online portal, meaning that persistent offenders can be easily identified and arrested, and that businesses have the information they need to be vigilant
  • get Worksafe Violence training, so that your staff can feel confident that they are safe and well informed about how to deal with any anti-social behaviour they might encounter.

If you are a licensed premises, joining the Safer Soho Business Partnership can also help you to meet your legal obligations to contribute to reducing crime and disorder in and around your premises.

You can join the Safer Soho Business Partnership for just £10 per week.
