Book groups in Westminster
Welcome to everyone interested in books!
Westminster Libraries run several monthly Reading Groups (some meet more often, and at different times of the day). You can find details of when they meet and what they are discussing by visiting the pages below. Some of the groups also report on what they've read, and what they thought, on the Books & the City blog.
Sessions are friendly and informal and you will be made very welcome. Each session has a theme, but there is also general discussion. Some sessions will have guest speakers. The sessions are free and most provide refreshments.
New members are always welcome, so please just come along!
There are also Chatterbooks reading groups for children at Church Street, Maida Vale, Marylebone, Mayfair, Paddington and Queen's Park Libraries.
Church Street Library Reading Groups
General group meet on Friday mornings. Other groups: Bengali Women (Fridays), Politics (Saturdays), Teens (Wednesdays) and Share a Book (Tuesdays).
Maida Vale Library
meets on Thursday evenings once a month. Share a Book: weekly on Wednesdays; Play Reading Group: Monday evenings, once a month.
Marylebone Library Reading Group
meets on Tuesday evenings once a month.
Mayfair Library Reading Group
meets on Tuesday evenings once a month.
Paddington Readers' Groups
meet on Friday evenings once a month.
Pimlico Reading Group
meets on Tuesday evenings once a month.
Queen's Park Library Reading Group
meets on Monday evenings once a month.
St John's Wood Library Book Clubs
meets on Wednesday evenings once a month, with a specialist Crime Reading Group meeting on Mondays once a month.
Victoria Library Reading Groups
meet on Monday evenings and Thursday evenings once a month.
