Church Street Library's BIP on the BBC

There are Business Information Points located in Church Street Library, Westminster Reference Library, Paddington Library and Pimlico Library. They have had some great feedback including...

Nigel Wilkinson, a social enterprise consultant who works at the Abbey Community Centre in Westminster says "Groups in Westminster are incredibly lucky to work in a borough with the best business information in London. We help lots of people start a business and the information in the libraries is a key to making a successful start. For those wanting to go down the social enterprise route, there is no better place than the library for finding information about markets and opportunities than the Business Information Points. Even better, it’s all on-line, with much information available from home or office via the 24/7 Library. For any group or organisation who runs or needs training resources,  Learning Nexus,  an online e-learning platform has a wealth of information to help them and their clients as well, with courses on computers and IT skills, recruitment &, interview skills, health & safety, food hygiene regulations and more. It really is a ‘best kept secret’ that business consultants often use the libraries to write reports and business plans and then charge organisations for the privilege.  Now you can do this yourself, for free!, so what are you waiting for......!"

This report from the BBC shows the value of Libraries such as these to those wanting to start up businesses and careers... Watch the clip on the iPlayer
