French Twinning Project - Get Involved!
22 November to 24 December 2013
Show Place des Fetes library customers how Christmas is celebrated in London
- Take a picture of Christmas street decorations or shop window displays
- Or give us your favourite Christmas recipe
- We will then send everything to our twin library in Paris and all the photos and recipes will be displayed.
- From the New Year, you will be able to see photos of Christmas displays in Paris.
Event open to all from 12 years old.
Women into Work - Pre- Employment Workshops
Hopscotch’s Women in to Work is a project to help women interested in gaining employment and learning new skills. This project aims to develop your employability skills, increase confidence and raise levels of motivation and self- esteem.
The four day course will cover:

Problem solving and Team Work
To qualify for this course you will need to be:
- Aged 19 and over
- Not in work
- In receipt of Job Seeker’s Allowance (JSA) and Employment Support Allowance (ESA)
- Possess National Insurance (NI) number
- Resident of Camden, Brent, Islington or Westminster
- Proof of ID (Passport or Driving licence)
- Proof of living in any of the above boroughs

Intermediate IT courses
Thursdays 12.15 – 2.45pm and 2.45 – 5.15pm, starting 16 January 2014.

The course is free if you are a jobseeker or receive benefits otherwise a £30 fee will apply for the 10 week course. Contact the library to enrol.
