Need a hand?
Westminster Libraries can offer access to a wide range of training and help with computers and the Internet. You can use our Gateway to search for classes, attend courses in the libraries themselves, get quick 'taster sessions' or sign up for our online learning packages. We hope that you can find something here to suit your needs.
Marylebone Information Service
...runs regular series of courses on 'getting started' computer-use topics, such as Word Processing, Family History, Web searching etc. Plus once a month there is a help with laptops session. Check their news and events page to find out when the next sessions are running.
St John's Wood Library
...holds an IT drop-in session every Monday from 2pm to 4pm plus ward funded computer courses. Contact the library for more information.
First Steps
Available on library computers, First Steps will take those completely new to computers on a step-by-step introduction.
Taster sessions
If you're a beginner, or you need a bit of a hand getting to grips with something, a simple taster session (or Silver Surfer session) might be just the thing you need.
Seniors online
There is a range of courses and sessions in libraries aimed at bringing computers and the Internet alive for older people.
Online courses
Register with Learning Nexus and you can access online courses on many computer-related topics, as well as a range of other subjects.
Learning in Libraries
There are several learning centres based in Westminster libraries, offering a range of courses including many on ICT topics.
