About Life in the UK

If you are applying for naturalisation as a British citizen or for indefinite leave to remain, you will need to show that you know about life in the UK.

If you live in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, you can do this by taking the Life in the UK Test.

This practice tests database will help you to study for the test, and also to practise before you apply to take the real test. There is also an ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) test, which will help you decide if your English is good enough to move on to the Life in the UK Test

You can work at your own pace, repeating any part which you need to. When you begin, you will be asked to choose a user name and password - this is so that you can keep a check on your progress and save your work.
