About Experian

Experian is a large database listing thousands of UK companies with detailed company information. Listings include company directors, shareholders, chairmen, contact details including addresses, telephone numbers and emails where supplied. Experian also provides company profits and loss figures, turnover, number of employees, company trees detailing subsidiaries and more. Searches can also be made by industry or business sector, geographic location (town, city, local authority or postcode etc), or to find out about other companies or competitors in particular industry sectors. Once information is downloaded, results listings can be formatted, saved and/or emailed from within the database. As well as being fully searchable, search results data can be downloaded and used to create tailored mailing lists.

Where it's available

Experian requires a username and password, and is only available in business information points in four different libraries:
