E4libraries Accreditation scheme

E4libraries is a Book Industry Communications (BIC) project to improve the efficiency of the library supply chain through the application of technology and commitment to standards. Its remit covers both public and academic libraries and its focus is on printed books and reading resources delivered digitally.

Westminster Libraries have been successful in achieving accreditation under the E4librariies Scheme.

The project is overseen by a steering committee of librarians and library experts and is chaired by Martin Palmer of Essex Libraries. BIC receives financial and other support for the project from the Museums Libraries and Archives Council (MLA), with sponsorship from the British Library and CILIP (Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals).
