Mayfair Library is an attractive community library serving its local residents, plus the great number of people working or staying in the area.
As well as the main section, there is also a small children's library which offers events for the Under 5s, a Chatterbooks reading group for children, and a homework club.
Special talks and events, as well as a regular Reading Group meetings are held in the library. Find out about other facilities available in the library.
You can find up-to-date information on any events in Mayfair Library by visiting the Events at Mayfair Library page, and get a taste of what we've been up to on the Books & the City blog. We also have a Friends group for involved library members.
Our libraries are closed on English Bank Holidays. For information on any other temporary changes please see the News page.
The upstairs rooms and toilets at Mayfair Library will be closed from 1 July-9 September 2013. This is to allow refurbishment work to be carried out to provide a temporary venue for the council’s registration service.
