Books and reading

On the shelves - what's in stock in Westminster children's libraries.

A library wouldn't be a library without books, and we've got stacks of them for children. We have over 130,000 children's books, videos, music and story tapes in our libraries for you to choose from, all in safe surroundings with friendly staff to help you.

Baby books and picture books, Stories and graphic novels, Fact books about everything you can think of, Homework help in books you can borrow, Young adult sections and Parents' collections. Books to be picked at and books to be devoured - Books which help you live your life and books which imagine another life.

If you'd like to share your reading with other people, there are Chatterbooks reading groups in several of our libraries. And every year there is a reading challenge for the summer holidays.
