Sporting Stories from our Olympic City

Summer 2012, and all eyes are on London, host city for this year's Olympic Games.

The run up to this year's event has shown that sport isn't just about the winning... it is about learning new ways to keep healthy, bonding with our peers, opening up opportunities to young people. People enjoy relaxing and socialising through both participating in, and watching, sporting events. And then there is the thriving business of sport.

However you look at it, sport has been a central feature of Westminster's social and economic life for centuries. Drawing on images and stories from the collections at City of Westminster Archives Centre, this exhibition celebrates the impact sport has made on our City and its people.
