The Theatre Collection at Westminster City Archives is an important resource for academics, theatre professionals, genealogists and local historians. We strive to constantly improve access to the Collection for both visiting researchers and web users.
We run a number of projects throughout the year to highlight the wealth of material within the Theatre Collection. In 2010, Westminster City Archives published London Stage in the Nineteenth Century by Robert Tanitch: a chronological journey through the history of West End theatre, richly illustrated with images from the Archives Centre's collections. In 2011, we are running a project to publish letters from A M Broadley's fascinating Annals of the Haymarket.
On this page, you can access resources created by staff and volunteers at Westminster City Archives to aid your research into Westminster's theatre history.
