Home > Topics > Libraries and archives > Archives > Guides, finding aids and indexes > Archives Centre Guide

This section includes a diverse range of public bodies providing services not directly administered by Westminster City Council or its predecessors (for which, see Chapter 10.1). Similar services may have been provided as commercial undertakings (see Chapter 21) or by private institutions (see Chapter 17). The records of poor law unions, health authorities and many other public authorities are held at London Metropolitan Archives.
