School Sports Club Programme

School Sports Club Programme
Join the School Sports Club Programme to create sustainable sports clubs for children and young people

The School Sports Club Programme works to enable schools to develop sustainable sports clubs that provide a variety of high quality sport before and after school and during lunchtime.

The council’s Sports Unit will work closely with local schools and help to bring together key partners including local sports clubs, providers, sponsors and volunteers to develop activities and opportunities. We will support volunteers to develop their skills for personal and professional development. The programme will also promote other suitable local opportunities for sport and physical activity.

The School Sports Club Programme launched on 4th March 2011 at the iconic Lords Cricket ground. The Big Society led initiative is one of ten projects launching this year to improve access to sport and leisure in Westminster.

We are looking for anyone with an interest in helping children to live a healthy and active lifestyle to register their interest. For more information or to register your interest in joining, call the Sports Unit on 020 7641 2012 or email sport@westminster.gov.uk
