Road access
The Olympic Route Network (ORN) and Paralympic Route Network (PRN) are the routes between Games venues and accommodation.
Every day during the Games it will transport athletes, officials and media from their accommodation to Games venues. Three venues in Westminster are hosting sporting events and many of the Games road events will run through the city.
Transport for London (TfL) are responsible for the route.
Temporary changes will need to be made to local roads and we have worked with TfL to represent your interests and minimise disruption. See route plans for the Olympic Route Network (ORN) and Paralympic Route Network (PRN).
General traffic can continue to use the ORN but there may be diversion routes in place at certain times of the day.
Visit Transport for London's website for detailed information on changes to roads

Bus services
TfL has published proposals for changes to bus services during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Some routes will run more frequently to cater for additional demand, but there will be some diversions and bus stop changes in response to temporary road changes during the Games.
Planned changes in Westminster include routes: 12, 159, 453, N109, N155, 19, N19, 22, N22, 53, 137, N137, N2, 113, N113, N381 and N550. Full details of the proposed changes are at tfl.gov.uk/gamestravel.
Further temporary bus diversions will be needed during road events such as the marathons and cycle road races. These are still being developed and details will be available shortly. All changes expect to be confirmed by April 2012 and will be publicised to passengers well in advance of the Games.
To comment on the plans please email ORNandPRNengagement@tfl.gov.uk by 27th January 2012.
Impacts
There will be some temporary changes along the Olympic Route Network, including:
- changes to traffic signal timings
- restricted turns
- road closures at some junctions
- suspension of parking or loading bays
- suspension of some pedestrian crossings
- creation of some alternative parking or loading bays.
Some of the ORN routes in Westminster, such as those close to Lord's Cricket Ground including Gloucester Place (north of Marylebone Road) will only need to operate from 26 July 2012 to 3 August 2012 between 7am and 8pm.
Others such as those closer to Marble Arch on Marylebone Road, Gloucester Place (south of Marylebone Road) and Baker Street will operate from 26 July 2012 to 9 September 2012 between 6am and midnight.
Areas most affected north of Marble Arch are the A40 from Westbourne Park Road to Great Portland Street, Lisson Grove, Park Road, Baker Street, Gloucester Place and Seymour Street.
South of Marble Arch
To ensure that extra pedestrians are safely managed and that the Games Family gets to events on time - with the minimum of disruption for those who live and work in the Westminster - some temporary changes will need to be made to local roads. The deadline for commenting on these proposed changes has now passed.
- Letters
If you live or work in the affected area in south Westminster, you will have already received a letter and map from TfL to explain the temporary changes in your area next summer. You can also take a look here.
