Music Day 2012 will form part of Supersonix, a celebration of the art and science of sound, held by the Exhibition Road Cultural Group.
Supersonix has three central elements:
a three-day international conference and partnership with the Society for Literature, Science and The Arts Europe
a series of visiting professorships and artists in residence at the RCA, Science and V&A Museums
the Music Day free music and culture festival on Saturday 23 June
Exhibition Road - London's premier cultural quarter where the world’s leading arts, cultural, scientific and academic organisations join to deliver vibrant programmes that challenge and surprise.
The Exhibition Road Cultural Group (ERCG) is made up of 18 national and international cultural and educational organisations, along with Westminster City Council and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
