Our ‘Westminster Works’ employment programme, which aims to get the ‘secret unemployed’ in central London back into work, has got its first person into paid employment.
Started in January 2013, the programme has put a team of 13 on the ground in five areas of Westminster, to seek out the hidden unemployed - those who don’t claim Job Seekers Allowance – and help them find work. The programme aims to find 400 people work in the next year.
