Stephen Higgins

Job title: Team Manager, City Guardians

Department: Community Protection

Stephen is employed with the City Guardians, in the Community Protection Department. The City Guardians service was created to help reduce crime through a uniformed on-street presence acting as the 'eyes and ears' for the public.

The City Guardian Wardens are based in the Leicester Square, Queens Park, Church St, Moore St and more recently, the Westbourne area. Stephen has worked for the City guardians for over 12 months and is based in the West End. During his time as a Warden, he attended numerous training courses to enhance his personal development. Through his dedication and hard work, he has recently been promoted to the role of Team Leader and his role now involves management duties and responsibilities.

To date, the work of the City Guardians has had very positive outcomes - police in the West End agree that there has been a marked difference in crime levels in Leicester Square since the deployment of Wardens in this area.
