Warm Homes Healthy People

This project is run by Westminster Council’s Residential Environmental Health Service to assist residents to keep warm and well at home whilst also helping to manage their fuel bills.

To ensure that Westminster residents get access to the range of assistance available the Department of Health has awarded Westminster City Council with funding to enable them to carryout home visits between now and the end of March 2012 as part of the Warm Homes Healthy People scheme.

As part of the scheme you may benefit from:

  • Free home health packs for vulnerable residents
  • A free home visit for vulnerable residents
  • Grants for eligible applicants from the Council to improve the heating and insulation of your home

In addition there is a vast range of additional advice & support available to eligible residents including:

  • Energy saving tips
  • Handy Person Service
  • Benefit entitlement checks
  • The Warm Homes Discount Scheme
  • Other national grants and much more
  •  Advice on switching energy supplier

Visits will be carried out by the Council’s Residential Environmental Health Team (or a City West Homes officer if you are a Council tenant).
