Temporary Accommodation: Lease ends
The self-contained temporary accommodation is often leased from private landlords. If the lease on your temporary home is coming to an end, don't worry as the Housing Options Service will help you move.
Not sure what to do?
We realise this can be a difficult time for you and you may be unsure of what is going to happen next.
You will have to move to another home, and this can be worrying. HOS officers are available to help you through the process, discuss your housing options and make your move easier.
Other options
This could also be a great opportunity for you to look at alternatives to social housing. For example if you consider renting a place yourself from a private landlord we could give you up to £2000 towards the deposit and first month's rent. You may also qualify for low cost home ownership. Both ways you decide where you live, not us!
If you are unable or don't wish to try either of these options and you have not successfully bid for a permanent home by the time the lease ends, we will of course offer you another temporary home. It may not be exactly what you want, but it will be suitable.
