When council and housing association properties become available for rent we advertise them on our Home Connections website and in a weekly property magazine.
Priority housing applicants, including Westminster council tenants, can then bid for them using their housing priority and points. This is called Choice Based Lettings.
We give all priority housing applicants points depending on their housing need. The number of points you have depends on your priority for housing and applicants within the same priority group are listed in date order. Your position on the list will depend on the number of points you have and how long you have waited on the list. Applicants requiring Community Supportive Housing bid for a different group of properties listed separately in the weekly property flyer.
If several people bid for the same home, we offer it to the person with the highest priority and who has the most points.
