Youth Council
Join the Youth Council and have your say on local issues for young people. It’s open to anyone aged 13-19 who lives in Westminster and you can join at any time of the year. The Youth Council's manifesto for 2011 is: Increasing Opportunities for Young People in Westminster.
We meet every two weeks on a Monday night from 5.30pm at Council House, 97-117 Marylebone Road, NW1 5PT.
You will have the opportunity to meet decision makers and help young people get their voice heard.
There are also other opportunities to participate in decision making for young people in Westminster through the North East and South Locality Youth Forums.

Meet your Youth MP

Name: Omar Archer
Age: 12
School: Pimlico Academy
Omar will work to ensure the views of Westminster's young people are communicated to Westminster City Council and other decision-makers.
He said, “I’m so happy that people voted for me. I worked really hard to get here by campaigning in my school, in my area and on Facebook.
“I want to help improve opportunities for young people and make Westminster a better place and environment for us all to live.”
Syeda Sultana, 17, from Paddington Academy has been elected as the new Deputy Youth MP for Westminster. She said, “I’m really glad that I’ve been elected for this position. As Deputy Youth MP I will promote existing and new opportunities for young people. I believe that is very important for us to stop talking and take action in order to improve our futures as actions speak louder than words.”
