Training
Tri-Borough LSCB Training
Below are the training opportunities available to staff and volunteers working with children and young people in Westminster, Hammersmith and Fulham and Kensington and Chelsea, as well as for those working with adults who are parents or caring for children.
You will notice that each course has been given a category Group 1,2,3,4. These groupings are based on the level and nature of your involvement in the child protection process, as described in Working Together 2010 and corresponding with the DoH Levels (Safeguarding Children & Young People: Roles & responsibilities for Health Care Staff - Intercollegiate Document, Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health, April 2006).
You will have discussed your need with your manager who will help select a course suitable for you. Only staff who need to know about or contribute to the child protection process and attend / give information to a child protection conference should attend level 3.
Everyone who works or comes into contact with children and/or their families in Westminster can apply. They can be a paid employee or a volunteer, full-time, part-time or a sessional worker. Please note there is a great demand for these places so it is essential that you let us know immediately if your circumstances change and you are not able to attend. There will be a charge of £100 for non attendance.*
