Westminster Safeguarding Children Board

All organisations and professionals have a duty to keep children safe. The Westminster Local Safeguarding Children Board is responsible for coordinating the work of these organisations, and monitoring whether they are carrying out their duties effectively.

Led by an Independent Chair, Terry Bamford, members of the board include:

  • the council's Children and Young People's Services
  • Adult Services
  • the Metropolitan Police
  • NHS Westminster
  • the Mental Health Trust and the acute hospital trust
  • the probation service
  • the voluntary sector
  • the Children and Families Court Advisory Support Service
