Our residential environmental health team can help you get special grants available for eligible residents over the age of 60. Find out more about grants...

  • Minor repairs grants: for essential repairs to the home.
  • Staying put grants: for small but essential repairs around the home. These two grants are administered by the Staying Put agency for elderly people.
  • Safe and secure grants: to help improve the security of your home

The team also carry out assessments of properties to identify hazards such as excess cold, trips and fall risk, security and electrical safety.

Keep alert- spot the rogues

Westminster's trading standards team is helping older residents to spot and deal with rogue traders.

A leaflet is being distributed across the city. It highlights common scams and how to recognise them. A handy door sticker reminds residents how best to deal with doorstep callers.
