City of Westminster

Senior Citizen Forum

Older Westminster residents

This is a group run by older people for older people in Westminster. Membership is open to both individual older residents and groups in the City. It meets about every 6 weeks in central Westminster.

The forum gives older people a stronger voice, and promotes the interests of all older people to the relevant statutory and voluntary bodies. It is also used as a consultation body for local groups and organisations. It is non-party political.

It usually has speakers on various subjects of interest and if there is a special topic several people would like discussed, we will try and find a relevant speaker to come.

Recent speakers have included energy grants, transport, crime and antisocial behaviour, advocacy and Health.

Drinks and biscuits are provided for a small charge and there is an opportunity to meet new people and have a say about being older in Westminster as well as hearing what's going on.

The Westminster Senior Citizens Forum is affiliated to the Greater London Forum (GLF)

The Forum is inclusive and we encourage membership from all minority groups.

So if you live in Westminster and would like your voice to be heard on issues affecting older people, why not join us?

How do I find out more?

You can either just turn up at the next meeting, or if you would prefer you can ring Isobel Hunter on 020 7636 4175 to discuss and arrange to meet one of the committee there.

Or email: info@westminsterscf.org.uk

You don't have to join straight away - come and see if you're interested first.

Is there a charge?
If you decide to join the Forum, we request a contribution of £5 a year for individuals and £10 for groups. We don't get regular funding and we rely on your support. As a member, you will receive notice about the next meetings as well as a newsletter.
