Friends and Family

If the abuse you suspect is putting a friend's or family member's immediate safety at risk, please call 999 straight away.
There are many different types of abuse and it is not always easy to identify.
You may have a family member who is in a care home or in a medical institution and you are concerned that they are being abused. You may suspect theft by someone who is looking after them at home or perhaps you fear someone has been abused in some other way. Many people don't report abuse in case they were wrong about their suspicions or they are afraid to. If you suspect any instance of abuse, please do not ignore the problem in the hope that it will go away.
