Dignity In Care
Launched in November 2006, the Dignity in Care Campaign aims to put dignity and respect at the heart of care services.
The campaign is about winning hearts and minds, changing the culture of care services and placing a greater emphasis on improving the quality of care and the experience of citizens using services including NHS hospitals, community services, care homes and home support services.
From helping an older neighbour with their shopping to providing legal advice for a local charity, you can donate your time to make a better day for people in need of help.
Other ideas are:
- help someone in care to do something new for the day
- dedicate time to read to someone who has difficulty with their sight
- spend time in hospital with someone who rarely gets visitors
- help an older neighbour to do a spring clean
- take someone out for the day or drive them to an appointment
- help someone to use the internet.
