Waste Minimisation

We all need to change our behaviour and habits when it comes to dealing with rubbish. By reducing, reusing and recycling your rubbish you can help create a better environment. A Green Guide to Living has many ideas on how you can reduce, reuse and recycle in your home or workplace. You can also find waste minimisation tips on our Recycling pages.

Recycling Services

glassWe provide a range of residential recycling services. The new doorstep recycling service covers those properties with the safe curtilage for the safe storage of a basket. The doorstep service provides once a week recycling collections for paper, card, glass bottles & jars, cans & tins and plastic bottles only. We also operate an extensive network of Micro Recycling Centres where residents can recycle paper & card, glass bottles & jars, cans & tins. At 24 of these sites you can recycle clothes and textiles using bins operated by the charity Scope.
