Household waste recycling centre at Smugglers Way

Westminster residents can take a large range of household items for reuse or recycling to the Reuse or Recycling Centre at Smugglers Way, SW18 1JS. Details on what you can take,how to get there and the very latest updates are here.

Please note that Cringle Dock Household Waste and Recycling Centre is closed.

There are no Household Waste Reuse and Recycling Centres located within Westminster.

The entrance is opposite the B&Q car park by Waterside Path. Open 9am to 4pm Monday - Friday, 8am to 6pm Saturday, 8am to 5pm Sunday. Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. Access by foot, car or bicycle.

  • Cans, tins and empty aerosols
  • CD and DVD players
  • Cooking Oil
  • Engine oil
  • Fluorescent tubes
  • Fridges and freezers
  • Furniture
  • Gas bottles
  • Glass bottles and jars
  • Green waste
  • IT equipment (laptops, faxes, hard drives, monitors, printers, scanners, keyboards, mice)
  • Light bulbs (including energy saving bulbs)
  • Mobile phones
  • Paper and card
  • Plastic bottles
  • Rubble
  • Scrap metal
  • Small electrical items
  • Spectacles
  • Textiles
  • Televisions
  • Toner cartridges
  • Wood

Alternatively you can also visit the mobile recycling centre in Pimlico, which accepts small electrical appliances, books and more every Sunday between 10:30 and 16:00.
