Planning conditions related to acoustic control



THE UNITARY DEVELOPMENT PLAN, CHAPTER 9  SUBSECTIONS ENV 6 AND ENV 9.

 

The Unitary Development Plan was adopted by Westminster City Council on 24th January 2007.

A. The City Council's aims of reducing noise and preventing significant increase in noise require a range of policies to: minimise the noise emitted from developments; to minimise Noise in Londonnoise and vibration transmitted between structures; and to ensure standards of design and noise insulation that will protect developments from existing external noise  - ENV 6.

B. The aim of Westminster City Council is to reduce the noise levels throughout the city to below the maximum levels set out in World Health Organisation guidlines: to limit certain noise from development, to protect noise sensitive properties from disturbance; to protect traquil areas; and to reduce noise from transport. -ENV9
