Westminster Cathedral Piazza

Westminster Cathedral Piazza

Westminster City Council adopted the Westminster Cathedral Piazza Action Plan in July 2009 following an extensive consultation which included residents, businesses and the local community.

The action plan outlines the council's commitment to delivering some key deliverables to contribute to improving the area's public realm. We are currently in the process of evaluating tenders for concept designs for improvements to Westminster Cathedral Piazza and Wilcox Place which are the two significant public spaces within the action plan boundary. Following the selection of the winning design we are hoping to launch a public consultation in Autumn 2010.

Through these actions, we aim to provide a well-managed, high quality public realm and a clean, safe environment for all those who live, work and visit the area. This will help promote the area and its unique features, whilst recognising its special significance as a place of worship, residential enclave and conservation area.

If you have any questions regarding the action plan please send an email to cathedralpiazza@westminster.gov.uk or alternatively you can call 020 7641 7061/8532.
