Creative Industries in Westminster
In 2006, the City Council commissioned the first comprehensive study into the form, function and economic contribution of the creative industries in Westminster.
The study confirms that Westminster is one of the most successful creative hubs in the world due to its centrality, connectivity, density of businesses and consumers and availability of talent. Despite these strengths, the Study suggests that there is no room for complacency if Westminster and indeed London is to retain its position as a pre-eminent global hub in the creative economy.
This report made a number of recommendations for how the Council could work towards supporting Westminster's Creative Industries. Please see our 'Creative Industries Programme' pages to see how we have responded to these recommendations, and to find out if your business may be eligible for a bursary.

The Study forms evidence for the Local Development Framework (LDF) and revised Economic Development Strategy (EDS).
