Local Development Scheme (LDS)

The Local Development Scheme (LDS) is the City Council’s timetable for producing its policy documents.  This LDS was bought into effect on the 13th March 2012.

Because of the uncertainty around national planning policy and related processes, this LDS does not give specific timetables for milestones.  However, it does set out what work is or may be required, and in what order.

This LDS covers all Development Plan Documents but does not include Supplementary Planning Documents.

Annual updates of the LDS can be found in the Annual Monitoring Report.  It is also noted that as the LDS no longer has to be signed off by the Mayor of London, it will be easier to update it and the City Council therefore intends to update it more regularly.
