5 - 15 year housing supply schedule

Delivering a flexible supply of land for housing: 5 year, 6-10 year, and 11-15 year housing supply schedules

The National Planning Policy Framework requires local boroughs to identify and update annually a supply of specific deliverable sites sufficient to provide five years worth of housing against their housing requirements and an additional buffer of 5% (moved forward from later in the plan period) to ensure choice and competition in the market for land.

The City Council has identified a list of developable sites to deliver housing over the next five years, and a further list of proposed housing sites which could be delivered in the next 6-10 years and 11-15 years.

This list is based on the GLA Housing Capacity Study (2004), unimplemented planning permissions for residential development, sites for which there is an existing planning brief, housing renewal/regeneration sites, the 'Opportunity Sites' identified in Westminster's Unitary Development Plan (adopted 2007) and ‘Proposals Sites’ identified in the Core Strategy (adopted 2011).

The schedule and map have been updated from the version created for the Core Strategy and will continue to be updated annually as part of the Authority's Monitoring Report. The accompanying map shows the location of the sites.
