Local Development Framework (LDF)
Westminster City Council is drawing up a new plan to guide future development in Westminster. The Local Development Framework (LDF) will be made up of a folder of documents which will guide the development of Westminster over the next 20 years:

The LDF will take account of the council's own strategies as well as other agencies' plans and proposals, and will eventually replace the Unitary Development Plan (UDP). This more holistic approach to planning was introduced by the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, and is known as 'spatial' planning.
The LDF is supported by an evidence base which has helped inform development of the new documents.
Core Strategy
On the 12th April 2010, City of Westminster submitted the Submission Draft Core Strategy Development Plan Document.
City Management Plan
Minutes and audio recordings of the recent workshops are available online.
Supplementary Planning Documents
Detailed guidance about how planning policies should be implemented. Includes planning briefs and Conservation Area Audits.
Statement of Community Involvement (SCI)
Sets out how the Council will engage with the community on planning policy and applications. Currently being reviewed.
Annual Monitoring Report (AMR)
An Annual review of Westminster's progress and performance in delivering its spatial vision.
Local Development Scheme (LDS)
The programme of work for planning policy development over the next three years. Currently being reviewed.
