Conservation areas

Conservation Areas are 'areas of special architectural and historic interest, the character and appearance of which it is desirable to preserve or enhance'. The City of Westminster now has 56 designated Conservation Areas. This means that special efforts will be made to retain the unique character of these areas and the buildings within them.
