The Council operates a Dog Warden service to which customers will often be referred. The Dog Warden service is able to deal with stray dogs in Westminster and with complaints about other people's dogs (noise, fouling and other nuisance).
In an emergency, the Officers may seek advice from the dog warden or the RSPCA (www.rspca.org.uk , tel: 0990 555999) before taking formal action which could lead to work in default (for example, the seizure of the animal).*
