Important note on new charges

From 1st April 2013 a new charging scheme is being introduced following a review of our service.  Please contact us on 020 7641 7230 if you wish to examine the scheme at our offices. It is known as 'The City of Westminster Building Regulations Charges Scheme No.7, 2013'. A guidance note and standard charge tables is available to download below.

Our fees and charges are as follows:

Building Regulations

Charges are made to recover the full cost of undertaking plan examination and site inspection. Standard charges have been set for certain types of minor work and other building work affecting up to 2000 sq.m. of internal floor area and are detailed in the guidance note below. Individually assessed charges for work to a greater floor area than this, and for giving pre-application advice are available by phoning us on 020 7641 7230.

London Building Acts - Section 30

Charges are made for consents/approvals issued under the London Building Acts (Amendment) Act. 1939. The fee depends on the type of structure proposed, and is shown on the application form available to download above.

Unless paying by debit/credit card, you must pay the fee when you send us your application.

Please make your cheques payable to "City of Westminster".

To pay by debit/credit card you should give the name and telephone number of the person we should call on the application form. Once we have registered the application that person will be contacted and payment taken.
