Westminster City Council supports and develops measures that encourage cycling.
Cycle Training in Westminster
The council offers cycle training sessions for school groups and organisations located in Westminster. There are also adult individual training and Dr Bike Sessions to ensure bicycles are safe to be ridden and fitted correctly.
Last year, there were 66 Dr. Bike Sessions, 240 individual adult training sessions and 504 school groups.
New Cycle Hire Scheme
This summer Westminster City Council is adding 6,000 bicycles for hire at 400 docking stations across Central London as part of the Mayor of London’s Cycle Hire Scheme.
