Green Spaces
The City of Westminster lies at the heart of the nation's capital and its parks, open spaces, and private gardens all contribute to London's reputation as one of the world's greenest cities.
There are many ways to enjoy these spaces, including getting out and enjoying them for a family picnic, run, stroll or for a catch up with friends. For a list of parks and gardens in Westminster – including those with playgrounds – click here.
Holding events in in parks
Westminster parks, gardens and open spaces can also be used by local groups such as Residents and Community Associations to hold events for the local communities (i.e: Fun Days, Garden Parties etc.) or for filming activities. There is a nominal charge for these types of event. For more information on holding events in parks, click here.
Create a wildlife area
In addition to visiting Westminster’s public green spaces, you can also tend to your own green space and make it more friendly for wildlife. Click here for a few ideas on creating your own wildlife area and for more advice on gardening for wildlife.
