The Westminster Carbon Alliance works with several Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) to help businesses and commerce reduce their carbon emissions. 

In particular, the WCA works with: The Heart of London, New West End Company BIDS and The Victoria Partnership by providing the following:

• Engaging BID members to develop a Carbon Reduction Initiative
• Producing Energy Action Plans
• Developing and Implementing energy efficiency projects
• Sharing best practice
• Celebrating achievements.
  
  

European Regional Development Fund

Recently, The Heart of London, New West End Company BIDS, The Victoria Partnership and Cross River Partnership received funding from the European Regional Development Fund towards improving the environmental performance of small and medium enterprises in each BID area.  These business are entitled to free energy and carbon audits, as well as free support on implementing energy saving recommendations.

As part of this support, the WCA has recently developed a Green Guide to Outdoor Heating for businesses. This guide includes information on the most energy and cost efficient methods to provide outside heatiners.  For more information about this, click here.

1. If you are a member of the above BIDs , contact your representative for more information.
2. If you are in a small or medium sized business outside of the BID areas mentioned above,
contact us regarding how we could work togehter on carbon and energy reduction initatives.
