Westminster Carbon Alliance

WCA logo
It has been estimated by Central Government that almost 75% of Westminster's CO2 emissions are from energy used in commercial and other non-domestic buildings. This is higher than the rest of the UK's 50% average.

Launched in 2009, the Westminster Carbon Alliance (WCA) addresses this issue by working with organisations from different sectors in a bid to reduce CO2 emissions from their activities in the borough.

Membership Benefits

Membership to the WCA is completely free and has many benefits for members. The WCA Steering Group will work with each sub-group to deliver the following:

  • setting emission reduction targets
  • measure and reduce CO2 emissions
  • support the development and implementation of emission reduction projects
  • share best practice, knowledge and experience
  • celebrate achievements
