To store, prepare, distribute or sell food on premises you need to ensure the establishment is registered with the local authority. Premises include restaurants, cafes, hotels, shops, canteens, market stalls, mobile catering vans and food delivery vans.

Will Tacit Consent Apply? No. Tacit authorisation does not apply as it is a statutory requirement that food business operators register their establishment. If you have been banned from operating a food business, your application will be invalid. If you have not heard from the local authority within 10 days, please contact us. You can do this online if you applied through the UK Welcomes service or use the contact details below.
