All food business operators are required by law to ensure that the food they sell meets the standard of quality that would be expected by the purchaser. To ensure that food meets this requirement, food business operators must make sure that it is properly labelled and presented, that the food or its ingredients are not different or inferior to that described and that the food is sold within its best before date.
