Food handlers have a legal duty to inform their employer if:
- They have suffered from vomiting or diarrhoea whilst on holiday;
- They have suffered from vomiting or diarrhoea at home;
- If anyone in their household has suffered the above symptoms;
- They have Typhoid fever;
- They have Paratyphoid fever; Other infectious diseases;
- They have infected cuts or sores;
- If a food handler has suffered from any of the above symptoms they must visit their doctor and inform them they are a food handler.
