Renewable energy
Renewable energy can help you save money on your fuel bills. However, the payback period can be quite long and energy efficiency improvements should always be considered before fitting renewable energy.
If you have carried out energy efficiency improvements to your home and would like to take further action, there are two initaitives available to help fund the cost of renwable energy, Feed-In Tariffs and the Renewable Heat Incentive. These initiatives have been introduced by the Government to increase the level of renewable energy in the UK towards our target of 15% of total energy from renewables by 2020 (up from under 2% in 2009).
