Apply online - information for parents

Westminster City Council is working with the 32 other London boroughs and the London Grid for Learning to enable parents to apply for school places online. The benefits of applying online include:
- a quicker process - you will be able to track the progress of your application
- faster feedback on the results of your application
- Less paper
- the opportunity to apply from any location with Internet access, 24hrs a day, 7 days a week, until the closing date
How do I apply online?
As with paper applications, you will only be able to apply for a school place online from September 2011. For secondary school places (Year 7) you can apply online from 1st September 2011 to 31st October 2011 and for primary school places (reception class) from 1st September 2011 to 15th January 2012.
What if I don't have a computer at home, can I still apply online?
You can apply anywhere with internet access, including your local library. You could also ask a friend or relative for help.
When will I find out about my application?
For transfer to secondary school applicants, the Admissions Team will write to inform all parents the outcome of their secondary school applications on 1st March 2012. If you have applied online, you will receive an email notifying you of the outcome of your application on the evening of 1st March 2012.
For primary school applicants, the Admissions Team will write to inform all parents the outcome of their applications on 18th April 2012. If you have applied online, you will receive an email notifying you of the outcome of your application on the evening of 18th April 2012.
