Joint Area Review

Children and young people's services in Westminster were inspected in 2007 by Ofsted and several other inspectorates as part of our Joint Area Review, or JAR.

The purpose of the JAR is to assess the contribution of local services in ensuring that children and young people at risk, or requiring safeguarding, are effectively cared for; who are looked after achieve the best possible outcomes; with learning difficulties and/or disabilities achieve the best possible outcomes. Every area in England will receive an assessment of these three areas plus grades for service management and capacity to improve.
