Westminster's Neighbourhoods Programme

Strong communities supported by excellent services

Westminster City Council has committed to strengthening neighbourhoods and promoting active communities by introducing dedicated Neighbourhood Funds to address local priorities in all areas of the city as a key part of the Council's Living City programme.  Each ward has been allocated an annual ward budget since April 2008, to help realise the Council's vision by delivering new or additional local services in your area.  From 1st April 2011, ward budgets have been known as Neighbourhood Funds.

The programme was piloted for the first 2 years initially, and a summary of all the projects supported between 2008-2010 can be viewed by following this link.

A new budget is available for councillors to allocate from the 1st April 2011, and this has been added to any funds councillors have yet to allocate from the 2010/11 financial year.

A full list of the projects allocated funding as of 30th December 2011 can be viewed in the document attached below.

How would you like to see your neighbourhood funds spent?

All wards still have a proportion of their budgets available and are still keen to hear your views as to how these funds should be allocated.  You can put your ideas forward in one of three ways:

  • Attend your next Area Forum to have the opportunity to give your ideas for future spending.
  • Email your ideas to the Neighbourhoods team
  • Phone our hotline 020 7641 3255

Please get in touch and let us know how you would like to see your neighbourhood funds spent.

Your Ward Councillors want your views.
